ABOUT US
OUR STORY
LIFE.LOVE.YOGA. first opened its doors in downtown Sisters, Oregon in 2009. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, we made the difficult decision to close our downtown studio location. Determined to stay connected with our community, we shifted to offering online classes and seasonal outdoor sessions.
In May 2022, we reopened as a boutique yoga studio on our rural private property just 10 minutes outside of Sisters. Today, we continue to offer online classes, seasonal outdoor yoga throughout beautiful Central Oregon, private lessons, and yoga therapy.
The exact location of our studio is shared via email upon reservation of a boutique studio class.

Jane worked for 26 years as a pasty chef before becoming certified as a yoga instructor in 2008, training at the Mt. Madonna Center in California.
She completed requirements for her 500 hour yoga teacher certification with Tias and Surya Little at Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, and it is the Prajna Practice and philosophy that most informs her teaching today.

Phoenix Ries, RYT 500
Phoenix spent the first 30 years of her career working with kids, teens families and adults in a wide range of private & public mental health settings. She began her personal yoga practice as a way to help manage stress, and to stay flexible as a long distance runner. Then one day she realized that her yoga practice had become so much more in her life. So, she closed her counseling practice to spend time exploring other ways of helping people to wellness.
In 2012, she experienced a tragic loss, and it was during those first hours of despair that she was certain that her practice of yoga (and the long run training), would be key to managing her grief process - and that she had to share the practice of yoga with others.
Phoenix is a certified youth yoga instructor through YOGA CALM, and a RYT-200 through Still Moving Studio. Phoenix’s classes focus on balance, strength, and flexibility through traditional yoga poses. She spends time focusing on mindfulness and deep relaxation with attention to healthy alignment. Her classes are eclectic and infused with love - the most important ingredient of all! She is a transplant to Sisters, Oregon from Philomath, and lives with her husband Tom, two cats, and an abundance of gratitude.

Lisa began practicing yoga in 2011 as a way to regain the flexibility she had lost during years of long distance trail running. She soon discovered that yoga was about far more than just her physical body, as the wise and healing words her teachers spoke during classes helped her through some of the hardest times of her life.
In 2014 she was invited to take a year long 200 hr teacher training with Rolf Gates, and began teaching Vinyasa Yoga in 2016. Lisa has furthered her education with certifications in Yoga for Healthy Aging, Yoga of 12-step Recovery, and Mindful Yoga for Trauma and Stress. In 2020 she completed an additional 300 hrs of advanced teacher training. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance as a RYT 500 yoga instructor.
She has been teaching Vinyasa Flow, Yoga for Healthy Aging, and Restorative Yoga in Sisters and Black Butte Ranch since 2017, as well as at women’s retreats and local climbing festivals. Lisa is also a family practice nurse practitioner, board certified in Lifestyle Medicine, and owner of Mountain Glow Lifestyle Medicine.
Join Lisa for online classes weekly on Thursday mornings for Golden Fusion Yoga.

Erin Walker, RYT200
I found yoga during my first year of college back in 2008. I needed a fitness credit and an All Levels Yoga class fit into my schedule. I told myself that if I showed up and they started chanting, I would just drop the class. These days, I can't wait for the chanting! But I remember what it was like to be new, unsure, insecure, and hoping to find somewhere to fit in.
I took my first 200-hour teacher training in 2012 in the hopes that I would learn about myself, and begin to heal childhood trauma and the harm caused by abusive relationships. I started teaching shortly after = but it was hard to find my voice. I continued to study, and took my second 200-hour training here in Sisters in 2015. That's when I found my community. I began to feel like I fit somewhere.
The practice of yoga has taught me how to experience life; How to love, grieve, play, question, observe, and recover. It has taught me how to sit still, to be uncomfortable, and how to find my center - over and over again. The list goes on and on.
Life is challenging, to say the least. The practice of yoga supplies the tools we need to persevere through the dark and murky waters to find the light that resides within and without. I invite you to join me in creating a place of safety and community.
